Hi guys and gals I need some advice here badly :
on Tuesday I was out on me chinky bike (the run around while ill do me test ) went to to see a mate to picks some bike bits up I needed, unfourtniey he wasn't there on my way back I was pulled over due to my rear l plate had come of (again !!!), copper asked all the usual question and then asked if I was insured etc to which I replied yes officer turns out for some reason I was still insured on my old 125 scoot in the garage, long story short I have been done for no insurance and the rear l plate meaning im getting 9 penalty point's on me license. now I wanna add now im not asking for sympyoney here as its my own fault should of double checked this all over but stupid presumed it had all gone through im taking it on the chin like a man and accepted there's sod all I can do about it now expect pay the fine and thank good ill still have a license. the bikes sitting in a impound yard and that's where its staying cant afford to fork the extra dough to pull it out and too be honest really ain't too bothered it wasn't anything special. now im due to me picking my fzr400 up of a friend in the next week or so and the original plan was to rebuild the whole bike while dong my test, now im looking at 9 points before I even do my test will I be able to do my a1 and still be able to ride or is it just gonna be better to quit my loses rebuild the fzr 400 really well and try and swap or sell for a rs 125 etc and just chew on a butt for a few more years on a decnt 125 till me points have gone ?.
Please don't make judgement here it was a genuine mistake I thought it had all been swapped over but they just renewed my old policy lol and because they were both the same chinky bikes didn't think much of it over the phone, they say to be old and wise you have to be young and stupid first , I tell ya this is one mistake I wont make again.
so im generally looking for some advice here of what to do as im a little unsteady where're it will be worth my while doing my test now or wait.
Thanks
Ben
