rebuilding my R1 and theres no way i can afford to buy genuine parts.

ive found full fairing kits for £430 and headlighs for £140

but the question is... are they any good?

the old saying of buy cheap buy twice keeps poping up in my mind :/

any info would be muchly appreciated

Adam.

My set was good.

I've encountered a fair few more who have had sets on various bikes and all been happy with them. Kits have got better over the years and also the bad feedback most likely comes from idiots who probably couldn't even get OE kit to fit either. My OE R1 fairings are a nightmare to fit and line up, plus they're flimsy as hell!

A couple of guys on the TL sites have bought the fairing kits - most are generally happy on a£ for what you get basis though some complain about the paint being a bit thin and the plastic/paint burning through when close to exhausts when the OE didn't, but that can esily be prevented with reflective insulation on the inside.
