Hi all,

New to the forum so thought id say hi!

Live in Bristol and been riding nearly 3 years, ive been without a bike for the last year but if all goes to plan ill be purchasing a 2010 Street triple R or 2012 Street Triple tomorrow. As i only know two people with a license i thought this might be a good stop to get in touch with others that like to head out on rides. Anyway ill keep my eyes open and hopefully join some of you soon!

Cheers

hi nathan

welcome to the site, glad to have you along for the ride :)):

have a look around and get stuck in, there are some rides and trackdays coming up you might like to get in on. you might want to have a look at the RTTB (it's in the calendar) i am pretty sure we have some brizzle boys coming along for that.

if there are no rides being planned that you can make, feel free to set and post one up yourself :)):

enjoy

No excusing necessary, I think its just a term used on this site, it stands for Run To The Bun, its a early morning start run down to lands end, breakfast in Penzance I think, then Plymouth then Teignmouth to finish.

I did it last year from Weston, left home at just after 2am to meet at exeter for 3, got home about 1630 that afternoon, and about 450 miles.

Good fun though

Thanks all! Nice to see so many friendly welcomes!

Heading out to riders now, just got to choose between the R or the triple with carbon and akrapovic system... Decisions decisions....

RTTB sounds like a good run I could be interested definitely!

I'll let you all know how the bike shopping goes!

Purchased a 62 plate triple R with 2200 on the clock, all the bits plus an arrow dual can system.

Test riding a CBS 600rr tomorrow though so could be a game changer... Anybody had any experience with either of these bikes? CBS is 08 plate wit 7k for £5290. Triple is £5999.

Any advice anyone?

Cheers

I had a 2010 cbr 600 rr but didn't gel with it but then coming from sports tourers it was a different story.
My mates bought a speed triple though and is thoughily enjoying that!!
Street triple is quite skinny.

Hiya

I had a test ride on a cbr600rr whilst my cb1300 was in for a service. I stalled it several times as it seemed to have naff all power till u reach 7000. Also it was about as comfortable as a childrens rocking horse sans saddle.

On the other hand I took one around silverstone and it handled really well. I could feel what the tyres were doing and it was fast enuff for me.

moral of the story? Really it depends what u going to do with it...
