Hi everyone, thought I'd drop in the obligatory hello post
I'm Giles, 33, currently near Taunton - recently moved back to the area after a few years in Surrey, and a 10 years in the USA prior to that. Currently have a R1200GS (should never have sold my multistrada!) and looking to change to something I like more in the next year.
Weirdly, never rode here while I lived in the UK originally, got the bike bug while in the USA (no, not harley/cruisers - nothing against just not my cup of tea) and re-took the UK test when I came back here. On the upside, it means I get to explore more, as the roads are all new to me from a biking perspective!
Hope to see some of you out there

you'll find all kinds of bikes on here so there will always be a bit of banter
sounds like you have been around a bit. where in the the states did you get to ?
dive on in, we have a couple of rides coming up if you fancy joining in, there is even a bit of info as to what you can expect from different kinds of rides.

Sorry for the rather huge delay - life got busy in the last year and riding took a back seat (now work from home) - but back at it much more, switched bikes recently, and hoping to get out to meet a few folks at some point

I just switched to a Ducati 899 - quite a change but I kept missing the Multistrada. Tested out an 899 (I tried the 848 a few years ago - the ergonomics have improved *vastly* since ) and just really loved the agility and engine characteristics. Traded in and got a used one.

That's some delay!
Nice to have you back .....you still in Taunton?
Pics of new machines are of course completely obligatory here you know.....(actually, its keeps the sanity until the spring returns
