A Shocking Revelation!

So the 636.....much as I LOVE it, it certainly didn't want to respond as suitably as it could around the twisties :|

Cue shiny new shock! I've gone for a Hyperpro through Calsport...seems really nicely made and customer service with these guys was spot on :)):

So, as well as it being fitted (and the old one being dropped out) the whole bike needed some balance in its suspension - front end was waaaaaaaaay too firm!

Took it to our very own Mr Billinom8s and I have to say, what a transformation!!!!! Just in the fairly short test ride it feels so much better, wants to tip into corners neatly and doesn't dip and bob under loading/braking. Having a bikes suspension sorted is SO worth the money, and being able to take it to Simon who's done the training and can actually explain the 'witchcraft' some might have you to believe, is where the value really lies.

Thanks Si, really looking forward to getting lots of playtimes this summer on a bike I have more confidence with already :-bd

:)): :)): :)):

Pound for pound a suspension set-up has to be the best value mod you can make to a bike.
Had the Ducati and the SMT done. Worth every penny.

Well Done Simon.

Going to need to book in with you before I am too much older to get settings sorted for the GXSR 1000 that's on its way in April.

Glad you got the bike sorted Smiler I remember my K1 being way to soft as wanting to wash out on every corner, such a difference after that one got sorted.

Glad your happy with the new shock smiler,
Sounds like was the wise choice to remove that crappy ohlins thingy,
(Aren't worth much if there crap hint hint)

And menzies I never found that with your gsxr, riding along the Minehead road felt fairly planted if anything the only reason the front end was light was when it was going airborne!!

Just a little update really....

So yesterday had the opportunity to really try out that new HyperPro at Bedford...

OMG wow, so so good to ride now :)): there was some proper sharking going on in my group **ahem** !

Its made for a very predictable planted bike, giving loads of confidence into and out of corners...massive grins!!!

A huge thanks once again to Simon :-bd best upgrade ever!
