Ok then, I know you are out there lurking about.


What I am after are a few guinea pigs to test drive some equipment designed for shorty style glove wearers.

It's a product called ventz.



Ventz - Original Rider Cooling System

Ventz are a pocket size removable air scoop which clips to the sleeve of your jacket that sits on top of your gloves allowing cooling air to be channelled up your sleeve, for riding in hot weather.

The objective of Ventz is to prevent the build up of heat and moisture under your jacket without compromising the safety of your gear, as you would all agree no matter how tempted you should never ride unprotected to achieve cooling effect, Ventz are designed to keep you cool whilst keeping you safe.

Do they do trouser leg versions 'cos my testicles get hot when riding?




Surely it's a solution to a problem which doesn't really exist, even in 30+ degrees heat in St Tropez last week, warm forearms were not a problem.


A better idea would be a vented panel which you could zip between the front zip of a jacket to give air flow but this would make the jacket loose in a fall. Not sure how these arm vents would work in a fall either.

Sorry but for the number of warm days we have I can't see them being in much demand (have seen these before), the foreigners have it sorted already, either mesh body armour jackets or just T-Shirts.

Would be interesting if the weather suddenly turned wet using them on a motorway.

I find a decent base layer is usually a good bet when its warm. Tend not to sweat so much and any sweat is absorbed into the base layer rather than your skin getting all sweaty and your leathers trying to absorb it. Never had a problem with leathers get all sticky and having to try and wiggle out of them.

I think "Ventz" will be found in the "anything for a £1 bin" in the not too distant future. Even then I wouldn't be tempted.

I wear ahort gloves.

However id be a bit concerned that it could break your wrist in an accident...

1- don't fall off
2 - they would have got round that during development
3 - would you like to test some?

When you say test them Si, do you mean free?

I have 4 pairs for people to test.

They must give a review though on their Facebook/twitter/forum things.

Rich vida on you tube, Wildbad touring tested them on one of his vids said they worked well.

Looks like people have been testing them for a couple of years now. (Apr 2014 on Youtube) either they have only just reached our shores or they aren't selling. ETA, I'd guess the latter seeing as they're uk produced. Too much money at £14.99, would never get enough use out of them in this country,need shorty or no gloves,looks tacky, and one more thing to fanny about with before riding off.

Like I said, my forearms are not really an area I'm aware of getting hot, OK if you have loose fitting kit but anything tight I can't see the draught getting to your warm bits.

I know some GP riders had cooling systems in the humps of their leathers before but this didn't get far.

If anyone was concerned about heat, they'd look for jackets with unzippable vents - I have some in mine but rarely use them TBH.
