Some sad news

To all of the SWB people who I have enjoyed motorcycling with over the last few years, I unfortunately have a little bit of bad news.
I'm hanging up the leathers for a few years while I sort a few thing out in my head and life in general. for those who don't know last September my mum passed away via suicide. Most of my life myself and mum enjoyed all things fast, cars and motorcycles alike. Since her passing I have fallen out of love with motorcycling as the last time I spent with her was at Llandow and Pembrey.
I will be selling all of my equipment including my famous 2004 zx10r aka Doris. I will post a full list on the site along with photos over the next few days.
I'm sure I will make a return to motorcycling in the future. I would like to thank everyone who I have met and who has helped along the way. This is a great forum and I will still be posting up on occasions, even popping in for the Motogp.
Thank you all again.
Jimbo

Very sad news Jimbo, in all respects. Very sorry for the loss of your mum.
I'm sure you haven't made this decision lightly, but I'd say a couple of things -
* You will always be welcomed here, bike or no bike.
* Unless it gives too many painful memories, or represents needed funds, can't you just hide the bike under covers at the back of yours or a friend's garage, for when/if you change your mind?
I wish you all the very best, whatever you decide is right for you

Sad indeed. Echo what others have said. Good luck to you in your troubles. Surely it can only get better from there.

Sorry to hear of your loss mate , but never say never , i sold a bike after 5 or6 years of riding back in 1982 it had been stood in the shed for a year not being used as there was nothing like tis in them days and all my mates had sold their bikes , but every spring i had the longing for a bike , then my daughter turned 16 (that was 16 years ago) and bought a 50cc scooter , i started riding that , then the rest as they say is history
