Might be up for this. However can't be out all day so would need to be early morning or late afternoon for me to be in.

Will confirm once you post a start time.

I'll meet you at West Bay but as I live the other side there's no point riding past it to ride back again.
Which way you going back? If you ride a northerly loop rather than going back the same way I could tag along for part of it. Plenty of good back roads and B roads out in the sticks.

If you're prepared to ride a bit further I've modified your route to take in some much nicer roads.

you could post that one up as your own route for a run out.

that way you could lead it too.

Yeh I could..., :erm: but at the moment I'm just getting a feel for all my local'ish good riding roads.
Plus I haven't actually been on any of this groups rides so I don't really know what's expected of a run leader...
I've been practising, and I think I've got the secret handshake sorted.. :o)

viewtopic.php?f=94&t=89587" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

you plan the route
i ride the route to make sure i know it
post up a start point, date, leaving time
answer any questions on the thread
meet up at your time/date
ride at the pace you have decided/ability of most cautious rider on route
stop for fuel/food/weewee break depending on age of participants
keep the bike behind you in your mirror, if they aren't there, slow down, if still not there stop, if still not there turn around.
lead all to pre arranged finish point
job done

A small detour but try this route to get to Beaminster.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Moto, ... 716666!3e0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The main road from Bridport to Beaminster gets very busy. The back road through Salwayash and Broadwindsor is much better and once clear of the villages just outside Bridport there are some nice sections.
At Crewkerne you can cut back along the B3165 through Marshwood Vale. That's quite a nice quiet and twisty road, then follow the A35 from Axminster and rejoin the A30 at Honiton.

If you want to try the back road to Beaminster either go into Bridport past Morrisons, turn left at the traffic lights in the town centre and at the bottom of the hill turn right at the mini roundabout.
Or you can go up the bypass towards Lyme Regis and turn right to Bridport at the top of the hill which will bring you back down to that mini roundabout from the other side. It saves going through town.

If you look at Skippys route, he's not going to Beaminster.
Jug is organising that ride.
