Hello all ,many thanks for the acceptance . Been out of biking for about 4 years ,so i bought another Yamaha R1 - Raven ,its a 2007 model with a few trick bits that have been added since the purchase from a dealership in Blackburn . The bike was all black with twin tri-oval Yoshimura under seat cans when i purchased her ,so ive put a couple of quid into her lol since the purchase with various red trick parts .
I live in the surrounding areas of Crediton .
Owning this bike has allowed me to feel free again ,nothing better .

Ride carefully and stay safe .

Best yet get some pics of this beast up for us to drool over then.

It is surprising how feelings change, yes I did bleed green in the past, but I can walk into a Kawasaki dealer full of the latest stuff and don't register a flicker of interest. It's pretty much the same for all the Japanese marques. I'm not bashing the Japanese in any way, they made what I rode for nearly 40 years, but my tastes are more European now, Austrian in particular. You have a SuperDuke yourself, and you must have been impressed by the quality of the Engineering and components used when you do something like remove the front wheel. It's like working on a pukka race bike. Obviously, kit of that standard doesn't come cheaply, but going back to do the same job on a Japanese bike and you can't help but notice the "built to a price" nature of the hardware.

Back to topic, Raven's R1 looks like quite a tidy example... still a bit short of orange though....

As R1's go, I think that model is the best looking one they made - and that looks to be a lovely example of one too

You've obviously never worked on an MV - both wheels come off without touching a wheel spindle. Chain adjustment requires one 8mm Allen key. Pretty much all the bodywork can be removed with one 5mm Allen key. Dry break fuel fittings as stock ...... And that's on a bike whose design dates to the 90's. There's little like a hand assembled bike with quality components.....

Well Hi R1Raven and welcome to the forum. As you can imagine with all this summer sun we are getting there are a ride outs arranged most weekends if you would like to join them your more then welcome. What, you mean us Suzuki riders going through hedges all the time and all those KTMs at the side of the road waiting for recovery.....again
