New addition to the garage

After selling my trusty Vstrom I had space for my next machine, a bike that would be capable & comfy for 2up travel whilst not feeling weighed down and slow because of it.
Here she is,
2015 KTM 1190
She's in mint condition with just 6300 miles on the clock, and I am very impressed so far, pulls like train even 2up.

That's the ticket. The KTMs are taking over, as is right and proper.
Looks like you've got Conti Road Attack 2s on it. On the front anyway. Great tyres in the dry, not so good in the wet. The RA3s are a major step forward and fab in all conditions. On my second set on my 1190. Far and away the best tyres I've run on it. Would definitely recommend when you need a change.

Yup, RA2's front & back.
They feel fine, as they did on my vstrom too. Not sure I'd notice the wet weather difference as I don't tend to ride in it, although it's often unavoidable.
The RA2 on the front of my vstrom eventually "went off"... it had scalloped badly and caused a strange feeling when leaning in (like a bad wheel bearing) and would also cause the bars to shake when decelerating from just above 40 mph (when riding no handed).
All the above disappeared when a new tyre was fitted.
No idea if this was caused by a tyre fault, the suspension setup, my riding style... who knows... if it did it to next tyre I would have investigated further, alas I probably won't know now.
Anyway, I've just put the touring screen on her and will take her on a little test ride this evening.

Really nice bike. Got to say KTM seem to becoming the brand of choice for road riding these days everywhere I turn everybody seems to be swapping to a KTM of some sort.
