Howzit! (Hello)

New here, so a quick introduction.
I'm an old fart from South Africa (Durban) and trying really hard to stop peeing in my pants all the time.
I've owned many different styles of bikes and loved most of them. The last one I had was a older air cooled GS that took me all over Africa without a single problem. Apart from me wetting my pants, not the bike's fault at all. So arriving in the UK I just had to buy another one which I have named curiosity. It's the first time I've ever given one of my bikes a name but I rode over someone's cat in Holland a few weeks ago, and thought it would be appropriate. I ride for a club at home and miss the camaraderie and rides more than you can imagine. Going riding with you guys on Wednesday evening (my first group ride in the UK) and I'm really looking forward to it. Hope to meet, and ride, with a lot of you guys in the future, not to mention quaffing a few cold beers!

Hey there Chris and welcome to swb.
Sounds like you may just have some cool stories to tell us.
Dive on in and we'll see you on Wednesday.
You'll be fine on a rideout with Ptolemyx, he struggles to pass a tree without watering it.

Yup, hi and welcome to SWB Chris

.
You sound just the guy for Ptolemyx and me to share war stories with - some of Brian's are true!
Enjoy Nick's 'Friendly' on Wednesday - you'll enjoy it

. Fyi, he's called Red5 on account of the mist that periodicaly and unaccountably descends; usualy when I'm following, making me pedal too quick for my old Fut's health - which led to it's premature death at 17 years of age and forcing me to adopt the same make of machine as him. So it's all his fault I've gained an extra cylinder

.
There's a top secret ride being plannned shortly which no-one must know about, so I'm not telling; but keep your beady's pinned on the forum's rideout section and all will be revealed in the fullness . . . . . towards the end of May atcherly, but keep it quiet, right

! Ptolemyx is involved again of course and it'll be him or me wot plans and/or leads it.

Welcome Chris,
See you on Wednesday Evening. Red GS did you say? Will look out for you. Should be a nice little bimble through South Devon.
Age is irrelevant, Brian and Phill are by far the most senile folk on here...
