A couple times a year maybe, usually just for the ride (and to save cooking tea).deej wrote: Does anybody go down to the hayle bike night ?
It feels a bit 'clicky' even though there's quite a few people I know when I'm there.
TBH, there's sometimes some police presence and loads of bikes just wobbling around, usually better to go to where they're not!
Let us know if you want a spin down West one evening.

haha!!!!!graham22 wrote:Beth, was having a pop at Monkey and his nimble 600 kwak (and our journey to Thruxton). After driving a Mini round corners, anything else will need getting used to.
Just leave a post on here as to where & when you'll be meeting (Valley Truckle Garage would be better for me if I take the KTM - ahem). What ever you decide, don't wait for me as I'll come up the A39, if I'm running late (quite likely) I'll turn round if I see you all going the other way.
yeah will do! id prefer the garage as my road comes out right beside it and no doubt i shall need to get petrol! just looked at weather and monday is meant to be sunny so fingers crossed for taking the bikes

Hi all,
Glad you all could make it tonight - was nice to see some different faces for a change! Shame about the weather on the way home, made it a little trickier! We wouldn't have left you behind Beth as you saw when I went back to find Rob!!
Good to see our area rep made the effort and came by car...!!

graham where did you get the cornish flags from that are on your helmet??? i think they're awesome
Re: Cornwall Pub meet Mon 26 July
Que Funky or Badger and their helmet joke......Mini_Beth wrote:graham where did you get the cornish flags from that are on your helmet??? i think they're awesome
The Cornish Flags on the side pods was a quick fix. I broke one of my pods & needed to replace, didn't fancy paying £30 for a pair when I intend to replace helmet this winter.
So Deej let me have his spare pod and I sanded them down & gave them a quick spray of black & lacquer - despite using plastic primer etc, the paint key wasn't the best, finished off with a cross cut from some old white fablon (can't remember why I had this).
Looked OK if you didn't get too close - however, left the lids in bags, on the bike in the sun one day in Portugal and the heat softened the paint & lifted the stickers, not so good now.
To do a proper job, I'd get some black pods (which are cheaper than the replica colour ones) and get a local sign shop to cut out the crosses.

Bike is sorted btw, sticking choke cable meant it wasn't fully in so bike was running really rich, simple but easy to miss till I had a good poke around....ooh er missus
Would like to try and organise Sunday ride soon, but pretty hectic this month so I'll see what occurs.
Cheers and lovely to meet new people!
