Castle Combe last week

Post by layne »

Decided to venture up with Payner last Wednesday and also meet Deej launching Talon and 3 other guys, which was good to see.

They do like to do everything different to all other TDO’s but now we have done it once it doesn’t seem like such a big deal.

Got through noise testing with some sleight of hand.
Quite a bumpy track when you get up speed and the right line isn’t always the fastest, as you need to take the smoother one on some corners.
Were both promptly told off after first session for overtaking “we don’t do that sort of thing here”.... So had to comply with their considerate passing techniques......
Very changeable weather and many unnecessary wheel changes as the track dries quickly.

Still had a good time and appeared to be the fastest on the day despite once being on wets on a dry track and not having been there for 23 years and that was as a sidecar passenger.

Deej, do you have the shot of me using all the track?
