Post by ptolemyx »

NO! not one of Nicks escapades but a "classic" film from 1964.
One for the grey ones to reminisce and the rest to see what biking was like before you were a twinkle in your daddies eye

I didn't quite get it right. In 1964 I had a Zundapp Bella scooter with a leather flying jacket, silk scarf and gauntlets that came nearly up to the elbows thought I looked cool but must have looked a right birk.It looked a bit better when I got a BSA super rocket in 1966

Truth be told, in '64 I was a nine year old who didn't even have a bicycle. However, I was in awe of my older brother who had an Ariel NH350 that he'd stripped down and put clip-ons and rearsets on. He let me clean the wheels with Solvol. I later realised that the Ariel Hunter was rather lowly in the scheme of all things "Rocker"

Haven't watched this yet, but in 1964 I had a 500cc BSA A7. I fitted 'Ace Bars' and twin megaphones and in 1967 rode it to my Army base in Germany.
In the 1960's, in Germany, anything bigger than a 50 cc Sachs moped was a serious chick magnet. I have VERY fond memories of that bike :)): :)): !
