Window shopping ride out. Now on SAT 6th SEPT

I've never been to Bransons in Yeovil and wouldn't mind popping along sometime, which gave me an idea for a run. How about a ride out stopping at a load of bike shops? Here's the route I thought of. (I know we don't usualy post routes but it's so that you can see which shops we would go to).

Start at Bridge
Back road to Wellington then Total Triumph
Onto Hein Gerikin Taunton
Down to Ilminster, then Crewkerne, then Yeovil for Bransons
Back towards Crewkerne but turning off towards Bridport
Popping in to say hello to the lads at Taylors
Then on to Westbay for a brew

I was thinking about half hourish in each shop but if someone wanted longer cos they were buying something then that would be ok but an hour max or we'll never get it done.

So before I sort a date etc who would be interested (date/weather depending). Be nice to have a fair few of us for this. It would have to be on a Saturday and Bridge open at 8:30 but would want to leave Bridge at 10 (so get there when you like to do your looking around first) and Taylors shut a 5 so would be looking to get there around 4ish.

And if anyone has any suggestion for other shops on that route or not far off it then please say. I haven't included V&J in Taunton cos of parking, sorry.

Sounds like a rather good idea to me, although if its a saturday i wont be able to make it is i work every saturday !

I know Bridge are open Sundays but Taylor's and Bransons aren't and I don't think Total are either, sorry

sounds good. There always used to be a GT motorcycles just outside yeovil in a place called mudford. If it does go ahead i am sure some of the yeovil lot would meet us.

It's now V&J. Mel and I were talking about it before I came back on-line so we could chuck that one in as well if you like. Parking is much better than Taunton V&J. I didn't know if that branch was still open but have checked the website and it is.

It's looking like Saturday 30th August unless not enough people can make that date. Was thinking of the 23rd but it's a bank hol weekend so roads will be manic, also people may not be able to do that date cos of going off and stuff.

what about the new v and j shop and riders in bridgwater,theres also the girls bike 2 shop thats opened up there recently too
tbh theres far too many bike shops around taunton and bridgwater to include them all

Not going Bridgewater though cos otherwise gonna run out of time. I did think about it cos of Riders but could put that in a futurre ride out.

I've just realized that the Weymouth ride is the day after. I can't see this being a problem, I'm gonna do both, but if it is I could always do this another weekend. Your thoughts?
