As long as you get the revs right seems cool, but it can lead to a missed gear or have it jump out of gear although seems to depend more on the bike

I would have to agree,

Porlock hill is not really novice friendly, although both ways there is a toll road just before which you can take with an easier incline and even more scenic.

Anyone left their bike at the airport for any extended period?

Just having to fly out early and not owning a car the bike is the only way I get to the airport.

Defiantly the route looks really good and I have not ridden that side of Exeter before
