Re: Overtaking vs undertaking?
If the idiot being slow in the outside lane hasn't seen you when you're right behind them then they sure as hell won't think to check their left when they finally pull across just as you're undertaking. It's extremely dangerous and rightly illegal.

Re: Dyno removed
I was in GT yesterday and got chatting to one of the staff. The work is starting today, and apparently the showroom will reopen in 2 weeks. They are removing the entire lower wall in the showroom and moving it back to be in line with the main outside wall to make the showroom much bigger. They are a...

Re: Inept dealers - gotta luv em - NOT!
Gee, i don't know, could it be the dealer that sells a rather good cup of tee in it's Plymouth showroom?

Re: 150mph my arse!
Compare that video to this one of a bike being tailed by an unmarked police bike at up to 143MPH and see the difference. There's no way the Plymouth one is even close to 150.

Re: Rich's SHOEI Challenge
get them to mark it as a gift under 50 pounds and no problem Not only is that illegal for them to do, it's also illegal for you to accept it. Plus, customs are pretty clued up on it now and will check anything that looks unlikely to be £50 worth to make sure. Finally, if something fucks up during t...

Re: Rich's SHOEI Challenge
£342 is the cheapest i can find in the UK: http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/238436/Clothing-and-Helmets/Helmets-Full-Face/Shoei/XR-1100-Monolith-TC5-Grey, although i can't see a black Monolith anywhere, just the grey one. You can get the plain black 1100 for £199 though if you can go without the g...

Re: Rich's SHOEI Challenge
I'd imagine the customs charges on something that expensive will be enormous, as the shipping gets added to the total before they work out the VAT you owe.

Re: Recommendations for Gear
I'm happy to buy locally, and will do so if the price differential isn't too much, but i'm not well off so saving an extra £40 on a jacket is too much to pass up.

Re: Recommendations for Gear
I'd recommend trying everything on in a store, and then buying online when you know what fits. I got a Shark RSF3 helmet for £40 less than retail online, and an RST Rift leather jacket for £90 off. No shop would be able to match discounts like those.

Re: NC30 Battery Problems
Cheers for the advice, here's an update: With the new reg/rec fitted, i get a steady 14-14.3v reading across the battery at 2500-5000 rpm. This suggests the reg/rec is doing its job. The battery is alos holding its charge perfectly well, so i don't think the battery is at fault. What i did find howe...
