Re: 4th Dimension etc

If he wants to go through insurance then cannot avoid it really. If you have a witness/camera footage to prove stationary then Big bonus or even cctv footage nearby. Otherwise some people may try and be dishonest. Completely agree that should check clear before reversing etc. If he is trying to clai...

Re: where can I find parts?

Problem is with just saying parts could be anything.

If it is just to piece it back on the road then equivalent/useable alternative parts could be available at reasonable prices.

Re: Top box

Got a top box on my commuter.

It's a 33l alloy one bolted on so can't remove it but as said, do grab my own ankle to assist getting foot past it.

Some people find it easier to get on from the right hand side, lots of american police use this method also.

Re: Engine works

What have you actually done to them is the big question. Are you looking just to rebuild the stock motor or wanting it built so it doesn't explode/race tuned. Thing is you need to find the point of failure rather than just building. As well as weighing up the cost of a 2nd hand unit rather than a re...

On road, heated grips and exhaust.

Off road, hand guards and mousses.

Re: Who's got some winter projects on the go then?

Refresh of the current fleet,
Service, checkout, bearings and re grease. Bike 1.
Then another service and rebuild on bike 2
Checkover bike 3
New batteries for bikes 4 and 5.

And then advertise the next 3 bikes to sell.

Re: Installing a Steering Damper

After having no steering damper on the Triumph 675 I borrowed for Portimao I can tell you that things get quite scary at 140 mph as the front end is desperate to shake its head all over the place had to literally pull back on the bars the whole way down the straights just to hold it straight. you d...
