Penske rear shock help

Post by Blimey »

Anyone familiar with these. Its one of those pressurized adjustable things with a gas thingy attachted to it and a valve adjuster.

Thats about the thick of it i know. Oh its a rear one.

Got one fitted to my 96 CBR 600 trackbike and ain't got a clue about setting it up and what the adjustments do or where they should be set at.

Want to have a go myself rather then pay a garage to do it but need some help explaining routhly where the settings should be set at, as a genearal overall starting position and where to go from there please.

It looks like this if any help

Any help appreciated

Cheers Moosey. Will dig my teeth into all that but already its helping with what little i have read already. I get bored quickly so need to do it in drips and drabs.

Yeah i did see you and i waved as you passed, also saw you last week i think it was as i was on way to the sports centre to watch my daughter trampolining, Wednesday.

Webber ain't got a clue about the front end, Looks completely standard to me and don't know if springs have been uprated or not or what ever has been done to them.

Your not going to Llandow are ??

That would be great mate. Just going to be a pain trying to get it to Steves and back. Need to buy a trailer

Hopefully arrange something "May" time. Bring the Mrs too and stay for dinner.

Will get back to you in a couple of weeks when its hopefully together again. Will pay of course

Cheers mate
