Hi all i am toying with the idea of buying a PC III.
are they worth the money??
will it improve the performance of mt bike??

The word on the street is deffo on the RR.

More so the 03/04 models as they had a sluggish midrange. Fitting a race can made it even worse.

Not sure how they improve on your 05 model as they sorted that sluggish midrange prob and plus you have dropped yours a tooth off the front sprocket too. Oh and added two to the rear

I have always found race cans kill a little mid range on 600's.

Surely not, with a modern bike like yours, maybe something older. Surely there is enough power for you already Jay ??

The more air flow changes made (air filter, air box "flappers", exhaust can/system), the more you will benefit from a power commander.

Also, bikes with noise limit related mid-range holes or glitchy FI as standard will show real improvements.

Mine was like night and day, and that's only with a downloaded map - more to gain yet from a custom map on a dyno ..... possibly another 3-4bhp, but hopefully mo0re in the mid-range where you really notice it on the road

oh - and instead of paying a fortune for a new one, on a relatively common ( ) bike like yours keep an eye on ebay ...... all the software is downloadable from the Dynojet site

They can be on the right bike It's essential on my SP1, sorts out all the nasty snatchy fuelling.

I think most bikes benefit but some less than others, Kellys 636 has pretty good fueling and there wasnt a huge difference. It will/should sort out any dips due to emissions etc and allow a few more ponies up top as well as giving better MPG.

For many bikes, a cheaper option is to find a place with a "Yosh Box" or "Teka FI" which are devices that flash over (re-map) the original ECU chip. They have a similar effect to a PCII or III, but are a bit cruder, only adjusting across 3 segments rather than every 500rpm. For a basically stock bike with no real problems, they are much better value for money.

my r1150r is chiped
and there are a few things thats the boxes cant get around like i can ditch the cat (DONE) disconect the lambda (02) sensor to get a richer cruse and low rpm. with no fult light or code from ecu
rase the rev limit
and have a choice of 8 pre set programs devloped on a dyno for my bike
ie stage 1 std and std+k&n
stage 2 cat removed with or without lambda road can
stage 3 as above with race can/system
stage 4 high lift cams (want some)
and another 4 maps with differnt ign timing and rev limit

its made a small difference on my 03 cbr jay but will make more difference if your prepared to pay out and have it put it on the dyno then you'll notice the difference,so allow over £400 for a pciii and set up
