Try a free map first, or ask around the CBR forums if someone will give you a custom map
Most aftermarket exhuasts will be more or less the same.
It's alot of money if the free maps are close enough, they fitted a DynoJet kit to my old GSXR750 and I wasnt to impressed, I guess because it was more effort to rip the carbs apart each time to make an adjustment, he just didnt want to tinker, the fueling wasnt great still, they charged me £90 to fit and do another few dyno runs.

That money is about right compared to other places ....... but for most Gav is right - My PCII has a custom map and is great - it's just that the custom map was done whilst fitted to another bike
Thing is .... most places used to charge that sort of money for a PCII custom map, which was quite a lot of work - 500rpm increments right through the rev range - whereas (as I understand it) the PCIII is plug and play, you do a sighting run, a full run, the computer identifies the right map throughout the rev range and downloads it the PCIII, you do a check run, and that's it
yet they still charge the same money .......
What I will say though, is Mark and Bud are pretty decent chaps and do a good job. As with any place, reach a clear understanding on what they are going to do for your money before you start

Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

my akra seems to run fine with the map i downloaded from the pow comm website, if it was a full system i'd definetly recommend using a dyno although it does seem alot cheaper the further up you go but then its fuel and time involved, some places you gain others you lose
