I saw it too - on the BBC Devon website:-

Motorcyclist and passenger killed
Two people were killed in a crash in Devon on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to the B3212 Princetown to Yelverton road after reports of an accident between a Yamaha motorcycle and a Vauxhall car.

The motorcyclist and his female pillion passenger are believed to be from the Plymouth area.

The 28-year-old driver of the car was treated for minor injuries. He has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision, which happened at about 1600 BST.

Very tragic :( RIP

Another story taken from the Herald

TWO DIE IN HORROR CRASH

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after two people died in an accident near Princetown.

A man and a woman who were on a black Yamaha motorcycle were travelling between Yelverton and Princetown just after 4pm yesterday when they collided with a green Vauxhall Vectra. >They were both pronounced dead at the scene and the 28-year-old driver of the Vectra was taken to Derriford Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

He was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is being held at Charles Cross police station.

The man is due to be questioned about the incident today.

The man and woman are believed to have come from the Plymouth area and to have had an extended family.

Police will today continue to inform their next of kin. The man and woman will not be named until their relatives have been informed.

The crash happened at the Devil's Elbow, around a mile from Princetown on the B3212.

The road was closed for about six hours after the crash to allow police to investigate the scene.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash, or for anyone who saw the motorcycle before the collision.

They are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a green Ford Focus or Ford Fiesta who they believe may have important information about the collision.

Any witnesses are asked to telephone the police on 08452 777 444 quoting log number 892 of May 20.

sad news but things have to go on, hopefully justice will be done, we seem to have to become more and more protective of ourselfs as time passes, what happended to just hopping on yer bike and going for a blast without any worries, all we do now is try and figure out what car is heading where so WE have to avoid them and not the other way around.
