It's easy enough to do yourself.

Powder coating isn't too expensive £60-£90 for both from what I've been told and I know of someone who had his done gold. I'll find out where for but won't be till Friday.

first choice in exeter are in my opinion the best coaters around, value and quality, dont often go together but with them they do

think he did both my rims for about £60

colours etc depend on what powders they have in stock/use, I have seen candys, flips etc etc in powder now, but that will cost a bomb as they have to buy the box of powder just for you, and shelf life is very short

I have had just about any part of a bike coated in the past, engine covers, barrels, wheels frames, petrol tanks

the finish these days is so much better than in the old days of orange peel finish, hard to tell if its coated or 2 pack paint job

yeh pretty sure you have to take them out cos they bead blast the wheels, so you will need to replace the wheel bearings cos you can't reuse them once they've been taken out.

And when they're baked all the grease comes out and will ruin the finish

My front wheel has been painted, the problem is the paint is starting to come off. I had the rear powder coated and it is starting to fade. Both have pros and cons.

I used 1st choice and they are great lads
