Llandow - All home safe and sound?

Post by TLS-Moose »

Hope everyone got home OK :D

I'd like to especially thank Speedy and the Llandow staff for organising another great day :D , and to all the other riders who made it what it was 8)

A brilliant day, and against the odds the weather did us proud 8)

Where to start with the tales - BIG loser of the day had to be Scotty (?) binning the Vivaldi ZX10 half-way through the first session whilst riding in a straight line   Blimey should be greatful he was using the track bike, and Dave, hope your's doesn't look so bad when you get home

The chap with the recalcitrant ZX6, glad to see he got a couple of sessions in at the end  and Loris, the ZX looked good and the VFR went well ......... and Leroy was doing well at giving the old man (and the rest of us  ) a run for his money, Kelly was doing great 8) especially after changing her leathers in the last session or two    and who was that "Ghost-rider" running round

My mate Lee would like to thank Nick for thinking he's fit/shapely enough to be a girl on his little 'Priller    and perhaps his memory is in the same state as his eyes, when it comes to keys, eh, Leroy

There were a couple of comments regarding the groupings, and rider ability, but at the end of the day, it is a day about FUN and no-one was particulalry unsafe in their respective groups :? I think perhaps the questions raised relate to the way in which the groups filled from the start of booking, meaning people perhaps ended up a group higher/lower than they would perhaps of wished :? Don't really think there's much of a way around that one though .........

Either way, a bl**dy good, laid-back, easy going day, with very few spills or grief 8) 8) 8)
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Agree with all the above. Also, I think I may have to apologise for 'fogging' you with the MZ in the last session.

Assuming you're a red TL.

Brilliant day. Thanks to Speedy for organising it and thanks to everyone (Age, Moose, Maver-Nick, Gav etc) for all the tips and hints.

Would've liked to have talked to everyone but didn't recognise most!

Loved the MZ, as did my dad, as he used to have one. Had to take it easy on the VFR as the warped discs didn't make braking very easy - especially into the tight corners (Moose 'did' me going into one of them and thought I was going to come a cropper! So thanks for avoiding me!).

I got to experience my bike in conditions I thought I never would test it in. I had the back tyre sliding for the first time ever going into the first corner and both tyres give out of the final corner on seperate occasions and thought I'd better take it easy! Shame about my ZXR but I did give it a few laps, so will badger everyone for help before the next track day.

Absolutely shattered yesterday but great experience! :D
