(Can’t find anywhere logical to put this! Feel free to move it if it’s in the wrong place!)

Just a suggestion obviously I’m new here so I not suggesting how to run things! :)

I was wondering if it would be possible to have subcategories under "Ride Outs"? I was thinking the categories could be names of counties so that people would know if a ride out was in their area! Just a thought..

Ride Outs->
- Cornwall->
- Devon->
- Dorset->
- Somerset->
- Wiltshire->
- Gloucestershire->

So general ride-out stories etc could still go under "Ride Outs" but future ride-outs could be posted in the subcategories relating to location.. What do you think?

I guess (assuming you think the above is a good idea?) then the same could apply to "Biker Friendly" which would make it very handy for when people go for a ride or on holiday they could look up friendly places near their destination..

The above would also let people know there is activity in their area and they might be more inclined to stay.

As I say, just a thought... :)

I think it's a good idea for ease of use but what if rideouts cover multi-counties? Would each ride out be organised from it's original meeting place?

I'd be afraid that this would segregate the site by it's constituent counties

Have to agree here, we have already had one split from the site, with the Plymouth group, (although only over aviators :shock: :shock: ) don't really want any more splits.

I would say, 95% of the forum covers Devon anyways, but obviously there are many rideouts in other places.

Most peeps here read all the ride outs anyways, I know I do.

Maybe worth putting this up at a Poll, Actually, I'll do it now.

Also put this into Latest Information Section so it goes under the News Heading on the main page :wink:

keep the site together, its only an 1.5 hours for me and Scotty to get to Exeter and we are probably the furthest away and if i have the time (and still have a bike) then i would be more than willing to travel. On your rideouts is it normally an all day job with pub lunch etc................ sorry but i have never been on a group rideout.

I voted know.

It does not mater where ya live as if you can make a ride out then do it if ya can't then fair enough.

In my opinion what you should do is post a ride out with location of start in the title.

I do however thank busa1999 for having an idea.

I live in Axminster which is in Devon but close to the Somerset and Dorset borders, so I'd have to check three catagories. It doesn't take that long to look through the ride outs posted anyway.

No basicly, but no harm mentioning :wink:

If there were 2 or 3 rideouts every weekend in different areas then it would be a good idea.

Maybe split rideouts from meets/events - then again there wouldn't be enough posts in the rideouts section to warrant it having it's own space would there!
my mind not only wanders ... sometimes it leaves completely
