dont give your bike away to them for that low a price..sell it privately and just bide your time...

I agree with moose about being very carefull with financing something like that.

Having suffered the pain of completely writing of a bike that was only third party insured and still heavily financed I swore I would never buy anything again unless I had the cash to pay for it upfront. I was paying for a bike that I didnt have for about two years back at a time when I really didnt have much money.

but then it is nice to have decent toys.......

it wasnt brand new it was three or four years old when I bought it (RD500YPVS) the chances of me getting fully comp insurance on it as someone in their early twenties who already had a years driving ban behind them was zero. I was all but uninsurable. it was worth about £3500 pounds before I stupidly reduced it to a pile of scrap... the bank loan payments I was left with seem small now but back then it financially crippled me.

thats a good trade in price really mate, their only selling trade for 4k with that mileage, personally i wouldnt buy a suzuki 4 everyday use as the qualitys crap and its common but i do live near gt. if your already thinking that you cant afford the repayments then dont get it but if it helps im sure the 0% is from suzuki direct as sales of new bikes are slow this year so their all doing 0% to boost slow sales, the used bike market is better than new this year.

many many years ago you could say that hondas had the build quality over the other jap manufacturers but this is a long time back mind...to the point where its now just a common myth.

These days I would say the quality of build on the top of the range suzooks is at least as good as if not better than its competitors.

Don't forget that Suzuki bring out the 2008 bikes in September.

sorry jason but i'd stil beg to differ on that as would many others inside the trade, the suzuki engine and gearbox is fantastic but the build quality and plastics just arent the same as the other japs and even marks like mv and aprilia build better quality bikes.

True about the plastics etc and the bolts furr up if you don't keep it clean but not as bad as the Kawasaki's.

Age
my zx10r is 2 years old now and ide say is in good condition as any other 2 year old bike
the only complaint would be stone chips but most bikes have them
i think todays bikes are all as good as each other
down to preference really

"differ on that as would many others inside the trade"

I wont deny that its a common opinion, but its also fair to say that some of the most misleading stuff I ever hear about bikes comes from the mouths of people in the trade. (although in fairness most of them are just salesmen so exactly the same as a car salesman bullshit is their proffesion and you shouldnt expect anything else)
