FOR ATTENTION OF BRIDGE MOTORCYCLES
How about letting us put some of the SWB Calender in your place to sell ???
Who can make that decision without anyone wanting to make something from the sale of the calenders ????
Can you let us know.
Seeing you post all the details for Bridge ride outs, and sale events, how about doing the site a favour

Not clear if you've had a response from anyone at Bridge yet...I work there and have found this site for the first time this evening. I will bring your question to the attention of the new marketing woman, Kate, and get her to get you an answer if poss!

Recieved from Bridge this morning
We initailly asked Bridge Motorcycles because they were placing ads on the site, things like there open days etc etc this was before the calender was even made.

RIDE OUT FROM BRIDGE - Sunday 21 May

Also I think Bridge is the only Motorcycle shop not selling the calenders from Plymouth to Exeter. Even thou now its to late at this was in November we asked. I did send an email as well as suggested and had no reply.
In relation to selling the Calenders with a percentage, Its For Charity
Thanks anyways Tilla

That title in the subject bar is daft really. Bridge is a shop and can't
send e-mails! But I am called Tilla and I work there. Following my first
visit to the web site and seeing your posting "For the attention of Bridge"
about your request to have space to shift some calendars, I left you a
message. I said that I would ask at work and talk to Kate the new marketing woman.
Here's the answer I got:- almost every week there is someone who wants to promote or sell something through Bridge. As you know there are a lot of clubs and other bike related organsations around in the South West, and they all know about Bridge and hope from time to time to use space there. Bridge is a retail outlet and it's outside the managements' policy to sell other people's stuff without there being a percentage in it for the business.
At the same time it is a bike shop and there is a genuine wish to support
the biking community. (To be honest it wouldn't be very good business not to!!) So anyone from the staff of Bikers South West is welocme to bring in posters or leaflets and put them up on the info board in the waiting area by the service bay.
As to Bridge using the site to promote Bridge ride outs, that would have
been done by one of the marketing people, and we have had three in that job one after the other in the past 9 months. Kate, the current person, has been in the job a fortnight and no one has seen your message until last night when I stumbled across the site. We try, but at times infromation gets lost between one employee and the next....
So sorry you were ignored, it wasn't a deliberate act or even a careless one - part of the time there was no one whose job it was to keep in touch with the site! If anyone from South West Bikers wants to get in touch with Bridge then e-mail to Bridge goes to Kate and a phone call or a personal visit would be welcomed by her as she learns the new territory she has taken on.
Meanwhile - although I work in accounts and don't carry any particular
Bridge banner out there on the road - I look forward to making your
aquaintance and hopefully riding with you in due course. Being an all year round, non-car owning biker I intend to turn up at as many events as I can when the rest of the biking world gets their wheels out of the garage!
All the best and ride safe

The owner of Bridge looks after the owner of Bridge and nothing or no one else. I don't think he even rides. Sad but true, I have had dealings with them before.
Having said that I have also bought eight bikes there over the years, new and second hand, and have never had reason for complaint. I have always found the staff there good, known one of them for 25 years, but the top man who makes policy is not your friend.

My ex wife worked for bridge for a while and the stories i heard from behind the scenes about the way customers were stiffed on sales finance and service were a total joke i would never line the antonys pockets again you get much better deals on bikes and gear from v & j superbikes and the one and only steve at peak performance for suspension tuning and servicing
