Another 'test' question

Post by V6 Mondy »

I have a friend who isn't 19 yet for another month but has passed his test on a 125 and is currently riding a restricted bike for 2 years.
However in 2 years time he won't be 21 , so can he still automatically get on an un-resticted bike ? Or does he have to do the test again ?

not a lot LOL , but just wondered of the legalities

he's 19 in August, so in 2 years his bike license (restricted) will have in theory expired :?

Hi as long as 2 years has passed since his test he will automatically be entitled to ride an unrestricted bike.

As long as you have held an A2 motorcycle liscence for 2 years, you may ride a full powered motorcycle.

A friend of mine took his A2 full bike liscence a month after his 17th birthday. Therefore a month after his 19th, he will be able to go out and ride any, full-powerd motorcycle.

Tom L on the forum is just 20 and has a full motorcycle liscence, no restrictions, I'm sure there are others.

Yeah my test was 3 days after my 17th, when i was 19 had a 120bhp at rear wheel ZX636. 2 years of 33 BHP is a long time, but good I guess, its just annoying that some 125's are quicker than restricted bikes :(
