personally I dont have anything other than standard can's fitted to my bikes, I use it everyday and get home from work at silly times of the morning quite regularly, the last thing I need is irate neighbours because a booming v twin woke them up again

my mate has a blade slightly older than yours I think, he recons with the standard can on it pulls better than with the straight thru one he has but he likes the noise so he keeps the carbon jobbie on there.

I dont think you'll have too many problems if its not too loud.

30 quid fine each time you get stopped. Either get it polished out or buy one of those bands for about 6 quid off of ebay and fit it over the top.

As long as it does not say 'not for road use' or words to that effect then its ok

I have one and am just waiting toget it polished out before fitting it to the bike

I leave the "not for road use" engraved on mine,
I dont think the police are that daft that they lose the ability to recognise a race can just because you have polished out the "not for road use" marking.

Unless your pipe is piss takingly loud police (around the south west at least) will tend to just have a moan about it and leave you alone.

been many many years since I got bailed up on it, in fact the last time I think was for a particularly noisy set of allspeeds on an RD 350 and even then all I got was a vehicle defect form that needed stamping at an MOT centre.

Well is on, but no ever so loud.
So how 'would' i polish if out then, should i need to. I,m guessing taking an angle grinder to it isn't the best idea, failing that a link for these bands that fit on ?

Any help please
