Biker Killed in collision with Tractor

Post by allyxx »

Biker killed in collision. A motorcyclist riding a Harley Davidson has been killed in a collision with a tractor in Chard, Somerset. ...... (teletext)

Sadly I heard of this today as it happened not far from me I believe it happened yesterday. I don't know all the details so out of respect for this local man I wont post details.

I wish to pass on my condolences to family and friends at this very sad time. Rest in Peace.

Please use this as a stark warning as we all know with the weather turning for the better it's also turned out better for farmers too. Just remember they are out there and probably going alot slower than you are. Please ride safe everyone.

This is no joke, I heard the Harley couldn't quite make it round the corner and so collided head on with the tractor.

Sorry Jon you heard wrongly. It happened between the drift road and the Golden Fleece which is fairly straight. The bike hit the trailor not the tractor.

Must be the day for GSXR riders to think that. My mate did a track day at Mallory today and he's said the exact same thing. GSXR's demand to be riden, no ifs or buts they demand it. Go for it at least you will ride like you want to and with no fear of the hazzards of normal roads.

So he ran into the back of it on a fairly straight peice of road :? I guess then he came around a slight kink of a coner then failed to stop ?
