Wonder what it would do round the top gear track! Is the handling up to much or is it just a straight liner?

340 mph............yeah right i think they must have thought of any old number and doubled it.
u would need some serious tyres to go that speed i.e. aircraft or drag racing and the rear tyre on it looks suspiciously road based.
and as for the handling mmm.............i bet it would be interesting going round a corner at speed.u would probably end up in the nearest hedge.

To put this into perspective, I once got involved in some work on underground trains and the dynamics involved in 14" wheels on 4 wheel bogies at 25 mph were equivelent to a standard railcar wheel at 125 mph. The difference between those outrigger wheel diameters and a 16" or 17" bike wheel is much greater. Doesn't make for reliability but looks nice.

Yeah apparently the outriggers retract at anything over (and i quote) town speeds, whatever that is? 20-30mph+??

Town speeds should be anything over 30 yes. Or maybe 50kph. Can you imagine accelerating outve town leaning over in a corner and the outrigger sucking itself in whilst your weights on it.
