Hi & welcome,

I'm from the rock so you may have seen me out & about on the Hornet,

as for the gixxer it depends how much money you wanna throw at it, theres a heck of alot you can do. For a 'natural' hp gain you can smooth the flow tract of the intake and exhaust by having them ported, but its a dying art & you'll be hard pushed to find someone with the skills to do it properly PLUS its expensive, i'd only consider doing it if you were racing it.

learn to ride it!!

get the basics right such as road positioning, learn to carry corner speed and use smooth lines and that is far more valuable than an extra 2.984 Bhp on the arse dyno, somone that can't go round corners well is always going to be riding slower point to point no matter what they do on the straights.

if you really want to spend money on the bike then getting the suspension set up for you is a good starting point imo.

whatever you decide to do enjoy riding
