N0bhead cager, with an awesome ending

Post by steve-d »

On my way to work today, i always go from brixham head towards dartmouth and go through the backroad which comes out by churston, i go on this road 4 times a day so i know the limits of it, well mine anyway :D
So heading towards churston i catch 2 done up chav cars, a 306 and a clio, the clio moves over and lets me past, fair enough, i acknoledge them, get up to the clio, doing about 40/45 go to overtake and as i get alongside and pass, he drops a gear and nails it as i start to pull in for the corner, so i have to pull back out onto the wrong side of the road going round a corner as it was to late to brake and pull in. Im soooooooooooo lucky that a car didnt come around the corner otherwise i would be in hospital definatly at the very least.
Get round the corner, drop 2 gears nail it off and pull infront make a little gap and slow down for a corner, which apparently he didnt while trying to catch me back up. I get round the corner fine, a little bit quicker than i usuallly do, look in my mirrors, and watch this twat lose the back end and end up in the bush. I was going to stop and see if he was ok, but then i remembered, he just tried to kill me, so carried on my way to work.
Serious lesson learned, be MUCH more carefull on any overtakes that they arent going to race you while im on the wrong side of the road, and also chavvy clio drivers are shite.

Being a cynical b*stard (and having gone through a vaguely similar situation) I hope he doesn't report you as the cause of his accident (your word against his & his friends) or for failing to stop after an accident ....... I once ended up in a world of woe for chasing after a moron who pushed me into a kerb on a roundabout
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Sounds like a darwin award candidate.

watch out for the red mist decending in situations like that bud, seriously. competing on the road against a car (especially with a chav at the wheel) could end up with hurt.
If he does a scenery detour its hurt pride, however if you do a scenery detour... :(
Its coming into spring too, & last year saw some overconfidence take some good people. Just hope i don't sound like a miserable git on this!

Lmao best saying ever.

I think i asumed that the first one let me past and even moved over, so i thought they might be decent people. Caught the other guy and he just nailed it when he saw me, was to far into the overtake to slow down, but once i did get infront i pulled a comfortable gap out, about 4/5 seconds within one corner, so why he carried on trying to catch me i dont understand. I was all the way through the next corner and onto the straight when i looked back to see him swap ends and go into the bush.
I know the consequences of if i try and go too fast, and i know it will hurt. I know my abilitys, which isnt that much really :) and stick well within them.

I missread Steve, i though he managed to prevent you passing & you caught him up and made the pass whilst he was being a nob. absolutely fair play then.

On one hand i hope they were uninjured (physically), but at the same time i'm hoping he's staring at his chav-mobile figuring out how hes gonna explain this to his dad, whose travelling x-miles to drag it out the hedge.

Went back today on way to college and stopped off, think he got off ok, massive tyre marks in the verge think he managed to miss the hedge so thats good news at least. Really deep gouges out of the grass. Just hope he tones it down now, but at the time i didnt care, but now im glad he didnt do that much damage.

Nice one! Saw on the news today that cambridge are trailing new black boxes for teenager cars that sence the cars acceleration / braking and downloads a report to dads computer. It has 3 lights on Red, orange, green. Hit red too much and it texts dadys mobile that they are driving like a knob. 8) Make them standard in all chav cars i say. BGut as I said Nice one, imagine this piss his mates in the other car are giving him

Will just encourage them to not brake so hard for corrners won't it. Therefore taking corners faster making them even more dangerous. It'll be insurance company's who want to fit them first i reckon not parents.

http://technology.timesonline.co.uk/tol ... 553110.ece This is the link that explaihns the device. It contains sensors to detect all bad driving including excessive acceleration, braking, cornering, speed and even if the suddenly change lanes. ie. swinging out late to overtake. 8) Think about it. If your young and pass a bike test they restrict the power output but chavs in cars have no restrictions at all.

Its a good idea, but i doubt it will work.
But they do get bummed on insurance for anything.
At 17 i can insure a 400 fully comp for about 1000 and a 600 for about 1100, but im cheap and went tpo.
Most teenage drivers get a car with like a 1.0-1.4 engine i would imagine, and pay alot more than that, with less performance than a bike even with the restriction..
I have no desire to own a car, but im learning to drive with my dad in my sisters car, do a few lessons and pass my test, hopefully, just to say i have one when going for a job, which in construction is quite a favourable thing to have.

I doubt it'll work either. Cause if i was driving the car that box would be disconnected before i moved off.
