Chap at work had one and liked it :? Should be good for what you want, don't expect GSXR/R6 levels of performance and handling though, and you might be pleasantly surprised .......

im not expecting an amazing bike for little money so aslong as it gets me about and i can still have a bit of fun on it then it will suit me until i get a 'decent' bike. they look pretty comfortable and hoping i will be happy with one for the time being!

I quite like them myself and was looking last year but saw my Daytona first for the same money and got that instead but they do look comfortable :)

High mileage yamahas can be a bit iffy, the teeth on the gears is known to go, have a good luck at it and make sure you test ride it.

Otherwise it's a touring R6.

yeah supposedly 1st and 2nd gears are a common fault on the thundercats, this one apparently has no problems with it. im going to take a look at it so fingers crossed!

I did own one in theory for 2 days !

Bridge mwssed up th registration documents on a new one that I bought about 10 years ago so had their demo one for the weekend and it handled like a piece of poo. I was on the phone first thing Monday morning cacelling my order picked up a new cbr600 from them the same day.

For a hack it should be ok.

The engine did pull well but standard rear shock is pants!

this was my dads first "sports" bike and despite owning newer/faster technology as of late still says it was the best time ever (doesnt everyone think that of their "first"? ) still i do remember him only ever mentioned the rear suspension of being a bit "budget" but thats the only bad thing i ever heard of it, lasted well too till it was crashed

ill get the pics up when i can, high mileage but had a lot of work done to the engine and runs sweet as, runs smooth through the gears with no jumping out, scott oiler, micron can, newer model rear shock and back end jacked up,seat cowl etc etc.
extremely happy as its been around 2 years since i got rid of the tl1000 and im finally back on a bike again!!

i got an insurance quote for one of these bikes the other day and it came to £341, got another one today with the exact same details only i said this time it had a datatool duo alarm/immobiliser and it was also datatagged, where as before i said it had no security at all

it went UP £14, how the hell do they work that out!!
