Motorbike Storage/Shed

Post by Ricky_t »

Hi all,

Has anybody used a motorbike shed or storage container/unit that is good for 1/2 bikes?

My dad has become quite annoyed that he can't put his car in his garage because there is a motorbike in the way.

My Dad kept his Pan European and a Yamaha 250 Serow in a good heavy duty garden shed that he bought specially.

I also have a garden storage unit from these guys ... it is exceptionally well made so I bet their motorcycle sheds are pretty good.

I just got a heavy duty garden shed workshop from southwest sheds in bideford very well made, room for 8 bikes at a squeeze in the 16x10 foot one (£1400 with double doors) i have 5 and room to work in there at the moment, but always have a look at sheds before you buy there is some crap out there, saw one at Trago mills yesterday under £200 for a 8x6 made of sterling board (floor and ceiling) and matchsticks, it would fall too bits if a fly farted near it

we paid about £200 for our 8x6 shed from a guy advertising in either the free ads or the cornish guardian, that included delivery and fitting and 3 years later its still standing very nicely. nice and easy and the only hassle i had was making sure they didnt scratch the bike when they carried the panels through the garage :!:

Thanks guys,

The trimetal shed looks good but is a little too pricey!

Will look at the freeads/ebay and wait for BamBam to reply!

just bring it in the house for a few days Ricky, leave your bike in the hall - the garage will soon seem like a much better alternative :)

I've got one of those yardmaster 7x5 corrugated steel sheds - it's a bit small really as 2 bikes do fit but take some juggling. security wise you could get into them with an old fashioned tin opener as well, but as it's outside my bedroom window hopefully I would hear it
