Hello all !
Just need a little info/advice really. I am a vigin at buying new tyres, have never needed to buy a new set !
But the time has now come where i need to (they are for the Er5, so its a 130/70/17, and a 110/70/17)
I want a tyre that has good grips, but will also last quite a while, as i dont want to be replacing them too often ! I was looking at the Bridgestone BT045's ? Any good ? Im not sure what the numbers stand for at the end, something to be with the compound...the higher the number the harder the compound maybe ?
Anyway, could someone please recommended me some, and any info on tyres you have previously has, and your experience with them would be good !!!

Re: Tyres...
Had 045's on the GS. Just, no.
Can you get 021's in those sizes? If so, get some! Never thought I would be so impressed with a tyre, never let me down once, even close to fully cranked over in the soaking wet at stupid speed they've been gripping while I've been shitting it for not paying enough attention
. In the dry I doubt I'll ever find their limits. Negative, they feel like they take a while to warm up, but that may just be me.

I have the 021's and like them but they do seem to take a while to warm up like wot cheese monkey said
Re: Tyres...
Ok, but im guessing that the 021's are a softer compound, so they will wear down faster ?

spot on young jedi i do indeed have the force of the 014.
had no probs with them so far but not exactly putting the miles on lately with my bike probs
to be honest i think the 021 would be best for your er5 if they do a fitting, good grip and last slightly longer
just checked bridgestones webpage and they dont seem to make 021 in your size but they do a 020 which is a newer tyre i think...
