I'm debating on whether to get on of these:

I know they use less power so battery drain shouldn't be a problem. More concerned about attention from the fuzz and whether it will melt the headlight lens? Does anybody know about these? Also I think i remember someone saying that the high beam takes time to warm up, how long?
Xenon headlight conversion.

Because they use less power they're therefore going to create less heat (conservation of energy). And the fuzz will be fine as long as you aren't using stupidly blue 10000k ones.

Oh right. I just thought that because they are brighter they would have a higher temperature output...

Putting the conversion kits into a normal head light causes bad glare and would fail an MoT, look at all the boy racers driving around with them in and you'll see what i mean
I had a video which someone posted on the SV forum with a guy who retro fitted them to his car and took it for testing and the results put me (and all the guys who had there name down) off the kits as we all thought it was too dangours to other road users
Saying all that one rouge on the SV forum went ahead and got a kit, fitted it and was well happy with the results and posted pics of it and i was impressed, they do make alot more light and use less power. Fitting the ballests came be an issue if you don't have much space around the front fairing, they're about the size of a small 'backy tin and if you got twim headlights like my SV then you've got two ballests to find space for but part from that, the kits come in plug and play format so it's a doddle to fit
