That time of year again

Post by Bladerunner »

So... Just got back into the country after 2 weeks honeymoon, desperate to get out on the bike, I head for my favourite national limit twisty roads, only to find that Devon County Council have decided to make the road as dangerous as possible for bikes again.

Miles of fresh tar and chipping surfacing, like riding on sodding marbles. What really pisses me off is that they obviously do it coz it's cheap, but it's also crap, within months it deteriorates and they have to do it again. In the mean time it's potentially lethal if you're on a bike, not so dangerous for cagers though - nice to know where we stand.

Why don't they just treat the roads with diesel, that way it'd be equally dangerous for everyone, probably last longer aswell.....

Just thought I'd warn people as they normally lay this shit all over the place once they get started. The road in question is the A396 from Dunster to Black Cat.
