You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

NO RIDEOUTS FOR BROTHER (STU_YZFR6) FOR A WHILE!!!

Post by STE-R1 »

:( Hi all,

Thought I would let you know that my bro, won't be on any rideouts for at least 6 weeks or so...had an eventful track day at Pembrey on Saturday 5th...Had big off at the hairpin, been in hospital since, should be discharged today...

Took a bit of a knock, CT scan showed small bleed to the brain - no treatment required for this...luckily...broken collar bone and bruised ribs...just cosmetic damage to bike.

I think he is more p***ed off with leathers being cut off by paramedics and a need for new helmet..

I am sure he will log on in the next couple of days...as he will be bored recovering..

Cheers Steve.   :D

Gutted mate. Hope he makes a speedy recovery. On a positive side it was better to happen on a circuit then on the highway.

Quicker response from Paramedics and no cage coming round the corner finishing you off.

Wish him all the best

Oh i remember a bike accident i had about 15 years ago and broke my left arm and dislocated my left wrist. When they took out the big scissors to cut off my leather jacket, i took the biggest breath of the gas and air and removed it by myself. Hurt like mad but i went home with a complete jacket intact

SH!T, Hope he gets well soon. The rest is replacable. As Blimey said at least it was on the track and not the road. At least he will be able to have a reason to buy nice shiney new gear
