Dropped it

Post by sevenofninecelica »

Can't believe i've dropped the bike, turning left from side street onto another bussy road, narrow streets, waggon turning left so I move over to the give way line , put foot down to stop and lean bike over and was feck foot isn't touching the floor fecking road camber drops off so the weight and no support my my foot sends the bike past the point of no return, manage to jump off to the left and try to support it by that time no such luck and only manage to soften the landing, not too much dammage, got full set of replacement fairings anyway, but i'm pi$$ed off with myself, not gonna give way any more and keep left on turnings again, I just simply didn't gauge the road camber, fecking street planners and road layers. Ah well just brused ego. Many thanxs also the kiddy who helped me pick the bike up. Silly lesson lernt

mine went over first day i had it out on the road, went to get it MOT'd, wheeled it out the test centre, went to put it on the side stand but it wasn't down properly, rescued that one but leaned it too far the other way and down it went, felt like a right tit i did, happens to everyone though.

Which was worse, dropping the bike or having a kiddy help you pick it up?

Mine has gone over twice now, once was standstill on a garage forecourt, Their bloody heavy things to catch as well. I managed to catch mine both times inches from the deck :D so i'm lucky.

Saying that I have R & G crash bungs in the garage waiting to be fitted so if it does go over I only have myself to blame for the damage

I think the R&G fitment for the Firestorm includes a steel bar which runs through the frame from side to side which makes it fairly expensive, their protectors usually do work well though.
