Re: new leathers
pee poor
a typically low quality frank thomas product, bought the bks name to add a premium range to their own portfolio
i had a look at them in my local store and the stitchings weak on the arm joints, there doesnt look like theres much protection on the knees or shins, and the tyoseland replica is nowhere near the qualitiy of toselans, its a very poor suit for the money, you'd be better off spending a extra £50 and buying a arlen ness or dainese

rst is great bang for buck, depends on your budget and the cost you put on your body
arlen ness is popular but not much choice design wise

Re: new leathers
It all depends on how much you want to pay.... After looking around a few years ago I couldn't find anything I really liked that gave me a feeling of security so I took the plunge and got a suit made by Zak Leathers and haven't looked back - sure, it's heavier than off-the-peg stuff, but that's because it's got so much leather in it and I'm absolutely certain that it'll withstand a crash better than anything off-the-peg - unless you go to the original BKS stuff which is 50-odd% more expensive and gives equivalent protection.
You pays your money, you takes your choice...

Re: new leathers
Had Frank Thomas which i used for DAS etc but they gave up the ghost whilst riding back from Spain and bought myself some Alpinestars tax free in Jersey whilst waiting for the ferry to Weymouth.
Had a piddly little low side today and all that seems to have happened is they're a tiny bit scuffed on the trousers and jacket so the gear slag posey 'Stars' leathers get my vote
