CMS - Opening Hours

Post by Jaye »

Hi all, not sure if anyone has already mentioned this and I have missed it... I went to CMS on Friday and noticed that their opening hours have changed, thought i'd give you guys a heads up so you don't go up there like I did expecting to get a second hand part and finding it closed!!

Anyway, here's the new opening times:

Monday to Friday 12.30 - 5.30
Saturday - 9.00 - 5.00
Sunday - Closed

Also the workshop is only open on Saturdays, Mondays and Tuesdays.

No I couldn't get over it either, they do have a lot of clothing though and it's not something you buy unless you really need to replace it

I think they do the packing/sending for the internet orders in the morning. They used to do it on Monday instead.

yeh they have quite a substantial shop on ebay, ive bought quite a few bits off there recently, probably making enough money from there to close some days to send all the stuff off or whatever :D

Take it you guys are refering to Cleave Motor Salvage in Swindon ???. Been there once pulled some parts off a car, they do try it on for jap things £150 for a door card is taking the pi$$ then comming back for 2nds and arse raping you again I did laugh at the chap. But the older stuff seems to be ok ish average. Didn't realise they broke bikes there might have to take another trip down and see what they have got available. Where else near Bristol are other breakers yards. M/C only.

I'm a fan of CMS, but can't get my head 'round their new hours. If they are there packing up their ebay orders, why not just open the doors anyway? Maybe they don't see much trade before lunchtime, but if staff are there it seems daft to keep the doors locked.

The new hours are due to thier E-Bay shop and spend the morning doing the orders for that.

Doesn't effect me though, i got a special back door pass. Called members only entrance

They are a great bunch in there.

Can't do the 10% member discount though. Well wouldn't a few years back when i asked.
