Spain & back... 'just to see how far it is.'

Toying with the idea of riding to south-eastern Spain, over a period of 2 weeks(ish). Looking at next year.

I have no intention of undertaking this on my own, simply because these things are best done with a kindred spirit.

So - has anyone ever done this before & what did you make of it?

I normally ride to Spain a couple of times a year. Let me know what you are after or what region you are thinking of going to and I may be able to help you out.

Jerez GP is in May next year which is a good time to go as its not too hot and accom is a lot cheaper than the Summer months.

Rode back from Bilbao earlier this year, easily done to be honest just pack the essentials, gaffer tape, cable ties & super glue, I took 11 days and stayed over or three of those in the Loire coming back via St Malo into Weymouth.

Would be up for it again, got a little boring at times on my tod

Good for you! Wish I could do next year, but got too much on. I'll be 40 in 2011 so really want to do a good trip that year, currently considering tour of Ireland (Wet ) or like you and Varcon France - Spain and back. Will be watching both of your posts with interest and if there's the slightest chance of joining you I'd be there like a shot Jon.
