From Good to Bad!

Post by Plunger83 »

Well we finally saw some sun this weekend! I made the most of the sun managing to get out on the bike after work on friday with two others and again on sunday with four others.

Friday was a local ride, leaving Liskeard we headed towards Bodinick catching the small car ferry to Fowey and then heading to st Austell, from st Austell we headed towards the eden project finding ourselves a two mile stretch of road between two roundabouts with a massive sweeping lefthand corner on it, we rode this section about four times along with about three other bikes who were also riding from roundabout to roundabout! :P from here we headed back up the A30 to Bodmin and rode the A38 back to Liskeard. It was a good ride and we just got caught by a bit of drizzle but nothing major.
Bellow (hopefully if it works) are pictures of mine (GSXR6K1) and a couple of my mates bikes on friday before the ride.

Sunday saw Five of us heading again from liskeard to Callington, Callington to Launceston and from here heading to Bude. We filled up in Bude had a little ride into town and then headed to Wadebride on the A39 at Wadebridge we headed to Bodmin and then back to liskeard. The road between Launceston and bude was awesome as was the bude to wadebridge (a39) road, I really enjoyed being out in the sun and nice dry roads to ride on!
Once home i cleaned the bike using the paddock stand to make it easier to get in and around the back wheel when cleaning and then to grease the chain afterwards, This is something I always do and when using the paddock stand i ALWAYS leave the bike stand down (just incase) however whilest cleaning the bike i must of knocked the stand up! and silly silly me didnt check it before letting the bike back off of the paddock stand! guess what crash the bike was flat on its side right outside my house.... gutted

Luckily for me on saturday my new R&G crash bobbings arrived and also luckily I fitted them stright away! so the only damage to the bike is a broken indicator and a scuffed bobbing... Thats more than lucky! :D
Here are the picture i took after cleaning (before dropping) on sunday! you can see from the friday pics that on sunday the bike was wearing the new bobbings! :)

and the big lump of concrete just as your reaching the crest, kneed to pick the knee up over that bit and put it back down again, only problem with that road is taht so many people are using that the do-gooders are out and making notes for the police on it
