Did you (expensively) start the engine afterwards, or realise in time what you'd done?

Guess it's gotta be flushed either way.

Just put £210 in my tank today about 190 litres worth :( . I might get 2 days out of it, mind you work has ferkin died so it might last me a lot longer :cry:

Luckily didn't start the engine. Cost me £194 to get it drained, pumped and petrol disposed of (yeah right into their cars I expect). No tow fee as I did it at the lorry park Texaco in Exeter.

Apparently if I'd started it then it could have cost about 10 times that with a common rail diesel engine so could have been worse.

Anyway, cheers for the messages of support! :roll: :lol:

Put £56 of Diesel in the car last night

All gone tonight

Forgot to mention

Myself and two other bikes toured Scotland last week (just over 2000 miles) and we stopped for fuel

one of the guys started filling up and the pump stopped working

Petrol attendant came out and said he had hit the stop button because it was a diesel pump....total diesel in tank was 7 pence so it was well diluted which sure was lucky as it would have spoilt our tour

thats lucky that you had a alert attendant,theres not going to be many fue statins that have someone as good as that

ive given up looking at my fuel bills,its got to be over £200 a week but luckily i dont have to pay :P

forgot to add that my wife put petrol in my old diesel civic and managed to drive it from st austell to plymouth and bcak for xmas shopping a couple of years ago without any problems whatsoever,although it did go wrong on the sunday night a mile from home :roll:

i put £50 of petrol in my truck one morning while still half asleep, i just topped it up with another £120 of diesel and it ran fine so i guess i was lucky :D
