yeh ive also thought of that, even bikes you see locally around time after time on the pavement or in a parking space, but never get to meet the owner (doesnt help that we like to wear titned visors :P) couldjust leave a little flier, could even be a business card type size with http://www.southwestbikers.com on it, maybe with your username on. you could put that on in pen tho i suppose

would particularly help as we seem to only have a small cornish following but i see plenty of people round my area alone :)

It was done a while, I think Nick and Phil managed to recruit a few members that way. Could be done again I guess, word of mouth seems to work well too though. I know I joined after seeing a sticker on a CBR, I think now it was ANDYCBR.

I often take a run out to Plymouth on weekends, Capn Jaspers on the Barbican, might be an idea to hand out some there. Like the others said, stick em on bikes you see parked up. I also know several bike shop owners who would not object to fliers going up, after all we are their bread and butter.
Yep, will be here on Sat.

Gerry from the site has done most of the bike shops in Plowmouth already thou, mind you that was a while ago and they may well have run out by now.

I think the main problem here is the price

Who is going to pay for all these cards to be done ?

Jason printed the last lot off as a good will gesture and we thank him very much.

I don't mind making some banners to promote the site and get some new members...i've got plenty of spare vinyl and banner material to make a couple of large banners to go up at Paignton bike night and a couple of other places if anyone as got any ideas as to where to erect them for the best results....i'm calling in at Surepass tomorrow to look at Kev's bike so i'll have a word about sticking a flyer up.
