Also hate buss stops on the road, why don't they build those laybys for them anymore so to keep traffic flowing is crazy rather than have a buss block up the road, supose they are saving money, fecking councils / road planners is what I say.
The reasons for bus lanes are to avoid causing congestion by buses stopping on the road and blocking the road, if its in its own lane then it doesnt hold anyone up, also by suggesting to people they would be better going by bus they have to make sure the bus can get from A to B relatively easily and not be sat in the same traffic jam as everyone else. If people used their heads and got a bus for that three mile trip to work in the city then traffic would be reduced and those on the road for a living would be able to get in and out of the cities easily. But because we all like our cars and are generally antisocial these days especially with other road users there will continue to be tail backs and congestion, we have it down here in Torquay in a huge way for around six hours a day you cannot move at more than walking pace except for the times when kids are on holiday and surprise surprise the traffic vanishes because the school run isnt being done.............
