1st Time Down...

Post by M0NK3H »

I ride all week, sun, rain, ice whatever so I knew it would happen eventually but I honestly didn't see this coming,

I was just creeping along in the college car park literally just making my way out, like 15 meters from where I was parked, I turned in a little for a small bend and well I dunno the back-end just went out and my lovely blue Ninja went pirouetting down the tarmac

Not sure what caused it, to hard on the throttle or just wet super-smooth tarmac... haven't a clue :?

Luckily the crash bungs took the brunt, I managed to scratch the lower black section of the fairing and just fractionally the painted section... and break-set got a little bent too (fair excuse for a new set for Christmas). It's my pride that’s damaged the most though!
Cheers, Marc.

Bad luck mate :(

Apparently there are two types of bikers...."Those who have been down-and those who are going to go down"

Hope you're ok though?

Bad luck, but it happens to everyone at some point  At least you're able to ride away :D

Well, done, you did a funky, now you're a real biker!

Sounds like cold tyres and as you say wet smooth tarmac. Car parks tend to get alot of rubber laid down too which can be slippy.

At least it's still rideable and fixable.

My pride is really what got hurt the most, just didn't see it coming...
Thanks to everyone though, you've brought my spirit back up!

I'm thinking of getting the belly-pan replaced with a carbon fibre piece in the summer (not going to risk it in the winter) and change it back this time next year, just encase.

I wish everyone the safest of journeys, especially in car parks...
Cheers, Marc.
