I used to ride a day time MOT all the time and ride with other who had the same and it never bothered us at all.

yeh adams right - no lights at all (including no brake lights or indicators) or all of them
I have road with a couple GJ's who ride there bikes like that - track fairings with just a number plate bolted on. Personally I never look at peoples brake lights anyway so it mades no difference to me.
I swap my bike between its track fairing (with no lights) for the track and road one as I prefer having lights on the road, but its my headlight I am concerned about not really my rear lights or brake light.

i have a trials bike which i ride on daylight and i think all you really need is an electric horn and number plate oh and tax/mot

electric horn only but for peace of mind you can fit say a led brakelight and as thats not the stock rear light you dont have to have the full light set up then.
