As soon as I saw this thread I knew you would frigging bring that up...speedy(delboy) wrote:Come on young Nicolush, tell them how you got your site name
For those that don't know...
Speedy takes me on his Barnstaple 'Race route' in a F**kin' Blizzard and about 6" of snow...
Outcome - I go flying and 'Land' my bike in a garden...When Speedy finally stops laughing he names me 'Maver-Nick'
As if to confirm the name, a few months later when riding with Phil (I swear he's a jinx)) I went 'Airborne' again and 'Landed' in a stream...
Please help...

Re: Riding in snow.
I rode in the snow coming back from Norfolk last year in April
At one point I looked down to find I had a completely white jacket!! That said, the roads were all clear and it was a very sunny day....
Conditions here are quite different, theres a lot of roads untreated and ice everywhere so I ain't going nowhere!

tut tut smiler, after gazkwaks tutorial about spelling and you fighting him about it, you go and fire a double negative out into the open. surely you realise that ain't is an abbreviation of 'am not/are not' therefore - not.Smiler wrote:I ain't going nowhere!
so if you are not going nowhere then by default you are going somewhere. so why tell us all you are staying at home when you are actually going out ?

On a serious note, I felt lucky to make it without a spill.. the bike is back in the lockup & i'm back in the cage.
On another serious note, dont think I've seen any settle in Plymouth yet!

btw, its "n e g a t i v e" I believe.....
though "nagative" maybe more factually correct, as in "that Billinom8s is always nagging me......"
As for Gaz, he's just lovely the way he is, so there..
Nick, I really love the reason behind the naming, though I'd hoped for the Topgun similarity....top military pilot, giving the bird in an inverted 'v'...but without the sticky ending under the parachute canopy!
Smiler - not going anywhere, not heading out, leaving, travelling or indeed exiting the front door!

Not great fun on my SV... especially since my dad pointed out I have practically no tread left on my front tyre
but *touch wood* I haven't laid it down yet. Though getting out of the driveway could be fun... it's basically an ice rink!
